im getting some help today

by rosie1986 @ 17.03.2008 - 01:30:46

Ive got an appointment today with the specialists im going to see them as they dont have time this week to come out to my home and visit me, but after that i hope they will be able to come to my house as i feel more comfortable at home although that could be a challenge for me to keep on going to see them. In some ways i dont really see the point of going to see them as i feel great and i think that im wasting there time, but on the other hand i dont want to return to my old self when i was really depressed and couldnt be bothered so in the end i will go, im still not to sure how they are going to support me but i will find this out when i go. They said that they wil support me for at least 3 months and then review my progress then after that i will see.

I am not being funny here at all.. Because I feel down a lot myself sometimes, I have good days & bad ! But if you really are feeling that bad then how the hell you can work in a bar is beyond me. Dealing with all those customers and in that kind of work place, I just dont understand how you could do that job when you suffer from serve panic attacks. I just dont get it because you said you found it hard to even go the doctors, and with having lots of Mental health training I really think you need to go back to your doctors, because I have never heard of a person that would be asked to stop counciling sessions due to self harming, that is what they are there for. Please go back to your doctors and get signed off from work or just leave the strange bar that you work in, where men are locking you in. I hope I dont offend you now, but could you think that this is all just in your head.

It can be hard to understand other people , or for them to understand us because they are not us , we are not them ,
and I'm not sure what you mean by suggesting to Rosie that it could all be 'just in her head' , - Martin .

Oh no..I wasn't being nasty I didn't mean it to come out that way, I ment it for the way I feel. I have had aweful things happen to me and have lack of confidence because of this. But I often sit there going through things in my mind and sometimes I'd be on the edge of getting ill from it, when really it wasn't as bad maybe as I'd first thought. I am sorry if I have offened anyone with my comment.

Sorry Rosie. and good luck

I do'nt think you've offended anyone , I just was'nt sure what you meant but thanks for explaining , and yes , of course , when we're depressed we only perceive a distortedly negative view of reality , and yes , good luck to Rosie . .

Im not sure what your trying to say by saying this its all in my head, do you mean with my problems. My counsellor is still only training so for her to take me on was to hard. I can go to my work easeir as its closer to my home rather then the doctors. I may go to the doctors this week as i want to say something to him. Well thanks for your opinon.
